The service

ZapLab provides a web-based laboratory information system (the "service") to laboratories that create an account. By creating an account you accept these terms on behalf of your laboratory.

Your account

You are responsible for the people you add to your account and for keeping their credentials safe. You must have the authority to enter patient data into the service and must do so lawfully.

Plans, trials and payment

Plans are billed monthly in Indian rupees, before GST. New accounts may receive a time-limited trial of a paid plan without a card; when it ends the account moves to the Free plan. Limits for branches, staff and monthly reports are stated on the pricing page. If a payment fails you have 14 days to update it before paid features are paused; your data and your plan limits are not removed.

Your data

Your laboratory owns the data it enters. We process it only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy. You can export your data at any time. If you cancel, your account moves to the Free plan and your records remain readable; nothing is deleted without your instruction.

Medical responsibility

The service records, calculates and presents results as configured by your laboratory. Reference ranges, formulas, flags and report content are your laboratory’s responsibility, as is the clinical review and sign-off of every report. The service is not a medical device and does not make diagnoses.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service to break the law, to attempt to access another laboratory’s data, or to send messages patients have not agreed to receive. We may suspend accounts that put other customers or the service at risk.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the service available and take regular backups, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before the claim arose.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email at least 30 days in advance. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru have jurisdiction.
